Headache Relief Guide

At Alpaca Werks, your comfort is our mission. The patented Massage Knife® was designed to help release muscle tension quickly and naturally. Below is a step-by-step guide to using it as a tool for relieving migraines and tension headaches.

Preparation

  1. Find a calm space: Sit or recline in a quiet, low-light area.
  2. Breathe deeply: Take a few slow, deep breaths to center yourself.
  3. Apply massage oil (optional): A light layer of oil can help the Massage Knife® glide smoothly over your skin.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Neck & Shoulders

Target: Muscle tension that can trigger headaches.

  • Use the Cupped Edge or Inner Curve.
  • Start at the base of the skull and gently glide down the neck toward the shoulders.
  • Use long, slow strokes on each side.

2. Base of the Skull

Target: The base of the skull where nerves related to migraines often become compressed.

  • Use the Rounded End.
  • Locate the indentations where your neck meets the base of your skull.
  • Apply light circular motions for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

3. Temples & Forehead

Target: Frontal tension and pressure.

  • Use the Precision Point or Crowned Edge.
  • Glide gently from the center of your forehead toward the temples.
  • Perform small, circular strokes at each temple.

4. Jawline

Target: Tension from clenching or TMJ pain.

  • Use the Crowned Edge.
  • Starting at the chin, trace the jawline up to just below the ears.
  • Repeat with soft, sweeping motions.

5. Upper Back & Traps

Target: Deep muscle knots and stress buildup.

  • Use the Rounded End or Grip/Comb.
  • Reach over one shoulder and sweep across the upper back and trap muscles.
  • Focus on tight spots and apply slow, even pressure.

Tips & Safety

  • Use light pressure: Especially during active headaches. Let the tool do the work.
  • Stay hydrated: Drink water before and after use.
  • Duration: 5–10 minutes per session is enough.
